Welcome to Great Baddow High School

To Parents and Carers,

The intention of this website is give you an insight into Great Baddow High School and provide useful information.

You may be a prospective parent and are looking for a school for your child. It is my firm belief that a proper understanding can only be gained by actually coming to the school and having a look around for yourself during a working day. If you do this, you will see buildings that are pleasant, modern and well-equipped. We are proud of the fact that we have a curriculum that offers modern technology subjects, with computers as an integral tool, whilst retaining the subjects with traditional values.

We expect a large percentage of our students to stay on into our sixth form and we have a superb sixth form centre for them.

We are very proud that the school has gained the status of SPECIALIST SPORTS COLLEGE - one of only seven in Essex. We are a centre of excellence for sport in the region and have achieved many sporting successes at both District and National level.

You can make an appointment to see for yourself by telephoning the school office on 01245 265821.

Yours sincerely,
Roger Hunton
Headmaster
