CABARET SPECTACULAR 2008

Thursday 10th and Friday 11th July at 7.30 pm in Primmer Assembly Hall.

Enjoy music from the shows, including Oliver!, The Wizard of Oz, Sister Act, Spamalot, Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago and many, many more!

Optional Black Tie.

Tickets available from the school office (telephone 01245 265821) £3.50 each or group table for maximum of six people £18.

CHARITY HIKE

Staff and students have decided to raise money for the five charities listed below:  They are charities that have some link or significance to the school, students and staff.  All the money raised will be distributed to the charities below on behalf of the school, staff and students:

 

  • CLIC Sargent - Caring for Children with Cancer
  • Farleigh Hospice
  • The Essex Air Ambulance
  • GOSH (Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital)
  • Brake - The Road Safety Charity

To ‘kick start’ the fundraising Miss Lynch, Mr Parker and myself (the Baddow Bobbles) will be walking the ’Southern Upland Way’, Scotland’s long distance ‘coast to coast’ trail which is 212 miles long.  We are aiming to raise at least £5000 over the next academic year, and hopefully at least £1000 towards that figure will be raised on this walk.

 

You can support by completing the slip below (it’s also printed in the summer edition of Magnus) and sending it in to school together with your donation.  Please place slip and donation in an envelope and either send in to school with your son or daughter who can place it in the red box at student administration or you can post it direct to the school address for the attention of the bursar (no cash please, if posting).  Cheques should be made payable to Great Baddow High School.  

 

We’re walking the route in the summer holiday between the 28th July and the 5th August 2008.  You can keep a check on our progress each day by visiting this website
